Plastic Communication
This workshop is designed to introduce students to the role of the designer as a facilitator in a communication setup. Here, we delve into the understanding that designers are not solely dedicated to beautifying randomly through instinct. On the contrary, we follow rules to pursue efficiency in message communication. We explore how decisions related to color, fonts, forms, interactions, and more are premeditated and carefully applied in support of the intended message.

Beyond decoration
Project: Le Coco Café_Happy Meal
Students: María Nuñez, Dayanna Espitia, Elisa Dominguez, Felipe Ortega
Basic Design 2
This workshop, utilizing the development of a toy as a focal point, marks the students' initiation into the concept of user exploration. It serves as their inaugural design workshop where they delve into understanding users for the first time. Additionally, the workshop consolidates the technical tools they have been acquiring since the initial semester, encompassing 3D modeling, prototyping, proportions, and
configuration principles.

Design Research
Preceding the final undergraduate project, the design research workshop serves as a space for reflection on the structure of design projects and the utilization of various research methodologies to support decisions at every stage. In this workshop, students delve into concepts such as design frameworks, wicked problems, and research plans. The objective is to become more precise in the treatment of collected information, enhancing their ability to justify decisions throughout the project.

Technology 1
1st Semester Workshop

As designers, honing a keen attention to detail is crucial. In this introductory workshop, we delve into fundamental design concepts such as scales, grids, views, isometric constructions, and finishes. Through hands-on activities, we apply these concepts to build 3D exercises, with the aim of reinforcing understanding and enhancing craftsmanship.
Training to be precise.
