Given current circumstances, Bogotá is experiencing a surge in motorcycle usage. However, the impressive growth rate of this market poses challenges on various levels, leading to significant difficulties in infrastructure, safety, and regulations. The 'Bogotá Motorcycling' project, undertaken as a Meisterschüler initiative, employs design research to address the complexities of this issue and aims to develop a digital design proposal for potential solutions.

In 2019, an International Bike Design workshop, sponsored by GIANT bike manufacturer, unfolded in Tainan, Taiwan. Throughout this workshop, our exploration delved into technology, components, and design trends within the biking realm. The result of this endeavor is 'Ketta,' a conceptual project that probes into the future of biking through the interconnectivity of wearables, platforms, and bikes.

Given the challenges in deploying a sufficient public transportation system in Bogota, an unofficial business model relying on pedicabs has emerged as an alternative for short journeys, particularly for the first and last mile. Unfortunately, the limited regulation surrounding this initiative has led to difficulties in various aspects, including safety, criminality, and the use of public space. 'Pedicapp' is an exploration aimed at addressing this situation, proposing a systemic approach to these challenges.
